Customer Automotive Report and Evaluation (C.A.R.E.)

Ensure Your Vehicle Is Running Safely

You rely on your vehicle and need to know that it is working well and safely. We have created the Canadian Tire Customer Automotive Report and Evaluation (C.A.R.E.) reports so you have documentation of the results of your vehicle's inspection. The 3-Colour Rating System

Our reports use an easy-to-understand 3-colour rating system to provide a visual summary of your vehicle’s condition.

Colour-coded checkboxes on your Maintenance and Mechanical forms help you visually interpret inspection findings, and quickly identify and prioritize the work that needs to be done.

GREEN = Pass

Part is okay, no work required.

YELLOW = Suggested Service

Suggested services are always optional. Our Auto Service technicians will present the facts, allowing you to draw your own conclusions and make an informed decision about how to proceed.

Reasons to suggest repair or replacement:

arrow Part is close to the end of its useful life (e.g. just above discard specifications, or weak; failure likely to occur soon).
arrow To address a customer need, convenience, or request (e.g. to stiffen ride, enhance performance, eliminate noise).
arrow To comply with maintenance recommended by the vehicle’s Original Equipment Manufacturer.
arrow Technician’s recommendation based on substantial and informed experience.
arrow To comply with maintenance recommendations.

RED = Requires Attention

Reasons to require repair or replacement:

arrow Part no longer performs intended purpose.
arrow Part does not meet a design specification (regardless of performance).
arrow Part is missing.
