Master Chef IS the Master!
I got this BBQ to replace my old one and I could not believe the difference. The heat is even so there are no more burnt spots on my food. Easy to clean and take care of. Love the under cabinet with easy access to the propane tank with space for BBQ utensils and other stuff.
Couldn't be happier with this BBQ. Offered at a very affordable price as well.

Great budget BBQ
This is a nice BBQ for the money. Moved recently across Canada, so the old BBQ (more than 12 years) was not worth the weight to get it moved. I am no outdoor chef, nor a grill master. I just wanted a decent BBQ to grill the usual fare (burgers, stakes, potatoes, corn on the cob, etc.) without having to resort to a "12 month, no interest" plan. Well, this is the one. The cooking area is huge, no problem fitting 18 burgers at a time (good luck if you try the 20-odd they say it'll fit, no room to flip them). Side burner is handy, quality of materials is just OK. I'd be happy if it last 5 or 6 seasons. I am normally careful, so probably will last longer *knock on cedar grill plank*.

Rusts Quick + Poor Customer Service
I received this as a house warming gift and I've been nothing but unhappy with this product. It took us close to 2 hours to put together but we didn't mind. The challenges I have are power and conditioning.
From the first day with all the burners on high I can't get the temperature to pass 400.
The second and more important issue are the grills. Within the first week the grills started rusting. The BBQ was always cleaner and covered yet it still rusted.
This takes me to my third issue; customer service. When I called about my 2 week old BBQ that had a rusting grill they said 'it happens' and it wasn't covered by warranty. The girl on the phone did not seem to care and was more concerned to get me off the line than help.
This is a buyer beware product!

pretty good for the price
Ok listen up everybody.....this Barbecue cost 249.00 dollars, I am a handyman and when I buy anything I really checkout everything from price to material and style.....My brother in law just bought this Barbecue yesterday and I went today to mount it up, no joke it took me an hour and the help from my niece just to put the top part on. As soon as I finished I went to buy Hotdogs and Sausages, and let me tell you it was amazing. Now don't forget its brand new, I understand you have to wait to see the results, but it also depends on how many times you use it and how many times you clean the Barbecue. So before you write your comment don't forget you get what you pay for. So for 249.00 if it last you for 2 to 3 years or more if you take care of it or you can get one guarantee for life for like over a 1000.00 dollars. See the point......everybody.

one of the all around worst BBQs i have ever used
this has to be the worst BBQ i have ever had, i bought this back in May of this year, when i was first putting it together a lot of the pieces were bent so it was a pain to put together and when i started to use it i noticed a whistle coming from the regulator so i called master chef and they wanted me to pay 20$ for shipping when i could just go to canadian tire and buy a new one for the same price. Now 2 and a half months later the inside of my bbq down under the burners is cracking and now i have grease coming down the side of my bbq

Maybe for the price
We bought this one last year, first we had to pay $35. for delivery even though we live a stone throw away and it was a sales guy that delivered it in his own truck since it wouldn't fit in the trunk of our car. Putting it together was so/so. But the real problem after using it for over a year is the cleaning. It doesn't need ceramic bricks/tiles that others had which was easy to clean off when needed or buy new for the new season. If you look in the photos for the inside bottom you see covers for the flames, that's it. The food/grease falls down on that and onto the bottom. Yes some of the grease makes it way to the grease pan but the rest stays on the bottom under and around the flame part.. You have to take the racks and covers for the flames off, to bring in to wash if you had a dinner for 7 or about every 3 uses for normal dinners. Since I'm the one that BBQs, washing is really turning me away from using it everyday when it is nice weather. Wondering if I cover the bottom with foil would it help or reflect the heat too much. I really miss my old BBQ with the tiles/brick.

Master Chef E480
The BBQ worked adequately when I replaced the faulty regulator. It provides somewhat even heating when all 4 burners are on. The igniter does not come with a battery. When assembling, do not tighten bolts in front tight, powder coating on base mounts of upper assembly cracks off. Overall, its a good BBQ for the price and the tubes will be easy to replace. I only wished that they would have sprung for stainless heat shields and a back for the bottom cabinet.

4 Months and counting
Got this late March 2011 and have used it fairly frequently since then. It has held up well in terms of performance and structure. Assembly was easy. I put it together myself without help but I would recommend you have some help when you get to the stage where you drop the top half of the assembly on the lower half. The instructions are good. One practical suggestion: do not take the nuts and bolts out of the multiple-pocket pack. Take each one out as you come upon its requirement. All connections fit well.
The lid is strong and heavy. The 4 burners do a good even job of heat distribution. All meat across the span of the grill cooks well. The ignition knob is plastic-y and reeks of cheapness, but is functional and does its job.
And that pretty much defines this machine. Not stylish, not a great reputation to back it up, not great quality materials - but does its job of grilling. A no frill grill.
