A Goodway to start seeds
Bottom heat is certainly a big advantage when starting seeds - particularly heat loving plants such as tomatoes and peppers. Once the cell packs are used up I plan to use ordinary pots and I imagine it will work with them

Great for seed starting
I had been looking for a heat mat to start my own heirloom tomato and veggie seeds, but every other store in town charged at least $50 for just the mat. Found this great deal at Canadian Tire, tried it and love it! My seeds sprouted in 2 days (took 14+ without the Mckenzie heated greenhouse). And the plants were much bigger and healthier when it came time to transplant them outside!

Flimsy Sides
I was quite disappointed with the flimsy plastic material of this product. I predict that the sides will crack easily and I doubt that it would last as long as a less expensive heating mat system with no sides, The maker professes that this system will warm the sides of the soil trays in addition to the bottom of the tray. Unfortunately, it was my experience that the soil tray did not even touch the heating mat and that the soil in the tray was just as cool as soil that was not on a heating mat. I returned the product for a refund.

great buy
I recently purchased an electric hotbed greenhouse and I love it. It's a perfect little greenhouse to start seeds indoors. I love that it's small and I can place it in a corner of the house without it taking up lots of space. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
