Not for me
I can't believe this lawn tractor actually has 3.7 stars. I bought this Troy Built mainly because of the 4 year warranty and price. I had it for approximately 3 hours total. Only 10 minutes of which was actual running time. I've owned 3 other lawn tractors in my time and nothing compared to this one. It was noisy, rattled, the foot pedal throttle so jerky it could give you whiplash and when the steering is turned fully in either direction I had to tug on it to get it to straighten out. Compared to my old Crafty the mower deck is paper thin. Check other reviews on the Web I did and returned it and went out and spent a little more and got a quality green one. Wow what a difference. On a side note the service I received from Tori and Scott was excellent.

Transmission Problems
We didn't even get six months out of it. The transmission didn't last. It has been at the manufacturer's recommended repair shop for months. We got it back and had to send it in again. When it worked it was a nice mower. We are waiting on another transmission. We are also going to go back to the Canadian Tire we bought it and see if they will help us out. We spent a lot of money on this and are incredibly frustrated about the lack of quality and the inability to get quick service. The blades were chipped really quickly, but that's the kind of repairs you expect...the transmission thing was unbelievable. We will see if Cdn. Tire stands behind its merchandise!
I would spend the extra and go someplace where you can get some service for the machine you buy!

Great Machine
My first lawn tractor and I love it. My acre of lawn takes me 1 hour 10 minutes to cut as opposed to the five hours the old walk behind took.
The bagging kit made hoovering up the leaves last fall an easy chore. The mulching kit works well also. As usual, Troy-Bilt comes through

In Canadian Tire we trust
This is more of a review of Canadian tire and MTD trators. 1st lawn trator we bought lasted 1 1/2 weeks, Canadian tire relaced it no Questions asked very good of them. The replacement after 9 yrs needed a battery and a drive belt. 3 acres mowed twice a week for 9 yrs is exceptional value for a tractor. We bought a troybuilt this year and it is a very nice unit good feature easy to clean, minimum electronic.
