Awesome!
I have 2 of these, one in my bedroom and one in the guinea pig room!
A light comes on when it suggests you clean the filters, which is once a month or so.
I clean them when the light comes on and there is always TONS of dust to be vacuumed or washed away.
I find it really reduces smells and dust in the spare room which houses my guinea pigs.
There is always dust from their hay to collect and odours.
Since having it people have noticed a huge difference in the guinea pig room, they always comment how you wouldn't know any pets were in there.
I find it easier to sleep in my bedroom with fresh, dust free air. Plus having some cool air blow your way is a nice feature as well. I keep both on the lowest setting and it does a great job.
On high it can be a bit too loud if you're trying to sleep.

Glorified fan
Had this for over a year now. All it does is ionize the air so that dust particles stick to walls, furniture, and floor. It doesn't remove it. The filtering elements are not even dirty after one whole year of use (average use 16 hours a day, when I'm at work and when I sleep)
The pre-filter got dirty with a little dust once. I suffer from psoriasis so there's plenty of dust in the air. We can see it when the sun is shining thru the windows.
Also leaves an irritating odor (ionized air) after prolonged use.
Not worth it. Will replace it with a real HEPA filter soon, that will actually collect dust, not move it around.
Ends up as a pretty expensive fan, albeit relatively quiet.

Not for everyone
After reading a lot of good reviews, I decided to purchase this air purifier to help filter out cat dander. First it had a weird smell of air to it and after a week, I realized I was sensitive to the Ion feature. I had chest pain and shortness of breath, which I've never experienced before. On top of that my allergy didn't seem to improve either, so I returned it.
Some people are OK with it and I've heard some of my coworkers who really like the Ion feature in air purifiers. But it wasn't for me and I went for a basic True-HEPA air purifier with replaceable filters and no UV or Ion features.

Really helps
In a few days the air quality became noticeably better: feels as if the air is softer and asthmatic now sleeps slightly better at night. No dramatic difference, though. Less dust at room.
At night it has to be used at low settings and no oscillation, as it was said, for TV on medium with no oscillation, full blow when there is no one on a path of cold air.
As you know, it has washable filters, no need to buy expensive HEPA filters.
Now about imperfections, not really drawbacks:
In the first couple of days it produced slight smell, as with any new appliance, then it passed.
At cold season temperatures, the air flow feels cold, try not to sit in the way of blow.
Some mesh to protect prefilter from the pet fur during shedding season would be appreciated.
The unit should be positioned 3 ft away from the walls and with nothing in front of it. I had to remove part of furniture and rearrange the rest. Should be no problem in almost empty rooms.
This air purifier has ionizer as a part of filtration, not turnable off separately. No problem with it anyway.
They certainly tell more in the French and Spanish version of manual: Ozone? No.
Plan to buy another one later, they are good.

Almost perfect
The "Honeywell 110CADR" - Its model number is not advertised correctly. The picture is correct as this is what came out of the box and with a better model number: HDF122c and rates Smoke=110, Dust=100, Pollen=132, covering 170 sq ft; much better than the "110CADR" rating: Smoke=80, Dust=69, Pollen=88, covering 124 sq ft. And this "HDF122c" is being advertised as a lower product and is on sale. Thanks Canadian Tire for the instant upgrade to a better air cleaner.
The noise at the lowest speed is gentle and soothing as you sleep. But only on the lowest speed you hear the Oscillating motor struggling on low power as it makes a scratching noise - at first I thought there was a mouse in the house. At medium or high the Oscillating motor gets more power and thus runs silently. While away from home I run it on High, but when on the computer I run it on medium. Best of all I use lowest setting with no oscillating while sleeping - so perfect.

Really does what it says it will
I wanted to write a review, because reading the reviews on this product was the deciding factor for me. This machine is great. I live in a condo and was waking up stuffy all the time, plus the dust was crazy. You really do just take this out of the box and plug it in. Right away I could feel a difference. I love that it blows out cool air because I find condo living can be quite warm. This is a very quiet almost soothing appliance. I will be getting one more as soon as I can for my living room. I highly recommend this air purifier and in fact have told all of my family members that they need to get it.

very good product
i bought this in sep 2010 and its worked wonders
my father is a smoker and it removes the smoke in the air with in minutes, the only drawback is the clean air it blows out is cold.

Solved all my problems
For the past few years I was always blowing my nose in my home.At night I would wake up with clogged sinus and mucus in the throat.I thought it was my system that was like that until I went away for 2 weeks on a trip down south.After 24 hours there all these symptoms were gone.When I got back home,everything started up again which led me to believe that my home was making me like that,so I went to Canadian Tire and bought the Honeywell 110 CADR.I put it in my room and for the first night in years I had a great night sleep with a dry nose and throat.The next day I went back to CND Tire to buy another one the same for the kitchen and living-room.Now I breath much better.If you want a great air purifier this one is rated 5 out of 5.I am very happy I purchased these air purifiers,because my quality of life inside my home has been greatly improved.

So quiet
I bought this product, pulled it out of the box and it was ready to go. It's in a room with a wood stove - within an hour I noticed a definite difference in the air. Even on high it's so quiet it's barely noticeable. Thoroughly impressed.
