great This is where you have to know your pet. If your pet gourges, then it's not a good idea as your pet will over eat and that's not a good thing. You also have to take it apart every once in a while to clean it, as food gets stuck in the bottom. March 9, 2009

Great Time Saver! Not having to fill the food dish every day is a bonus. The product is great, but I find that the food gets 'stuck' in the chamber a lot (kind of what it looks like in the photo). It's cat food, so it's not exactly large pieces. I have to 'dig' it down into the bowl every so often, but other than that, the concept is great. It's not very practical if you want to limit the amount of food that the animal gets in a day, though. I find I'm going through more food than I did before we bought this. May 23, 2008
