Garrison Plug-in Carbon Monoxide Alarm
Good CO Detector, but Flawed Battery Clip
This is a good quality Carbon Monoxide Detector for the price. It plugs into a wall outlet and contains a 9V battery backup in the case of a power outage.
The reason why people have complained about false alarms is that the battery clip has a design flaw that causes the battery to get disconnected from the battery terminals. The problem is that the battery clip has a gap between the battery and this allows the battery to pop out and the alarm sounds.
The fix for this is easy. Just stick two pieces of double sided tape to the battery clip and that will hold the battery tightly and keep it connected. It will work perfectly after that.

Not a good choice
We purchased this one, what a mistake. Not really knowing much about which detect to get, my husband said well they all work the same,"this one is cheaper than the rest" Well after alot of false alarms, scaring the daylights out of me, I ripped it out of the wall, put it where it belong (the gabage) and did my research and bought a very good one. Price should not mean a thing when it comes to saving your families lives.

False alarms constantly
False alarms with slow beeps and no window display for accuracy makes this a horrible choice.

Can't beat the price
We just purchased our first house and the electrical Carbon Monoxide that came with the house doesn't work. I didn't want to spend $50 per Carbon Monoxide so, i decided on this model and got 2 of them. For the price you really can't beat it. The odds of us dying from carbon monoxide is slim however, better safe then sorry.
