Red Tec22a Replacement and Retrofit Kit
I also had the same problem as the other reviews all hose connections leaked most of the product was lost I suggest getting a new supplier for the hoses these kits should be pulled of the shelf until this is rectified .

Worked perfect for me
After waiting 3 weeks for a tech to recharge system I tried this product, I purchased 2 kits as it is a larger AC system, after reading the reviews I was carefull attaching the cans and hoses and added 6 cans to the system bringing the suction pressure with compressor running to 70 psi. By the time I put things away and went in the office it was starting to cool down already. Saved me about $500 doing it myself. Great product.

like others on here, the quality of the hose gauge is terrible. With the hot weather our AC stopped blowing cold so wanted to give this a try. Tried all 3 cans and don't think much of it went in the compressor. All leaked from the connection and the hose burst when the AC turned on. Poor and waste of money.

BIG waste of money
This was a complete waste of money and time. Tried three of these, and every one leaked. The first leaked at every hose fitting. The second leaked at one hose fitting, and the third leaked at the a/c end hose fitting (before the hose burst). I finally when to a hydraulic/hose company to repair it so I could charge the a/c. They couldn't even supply parts because it was so non-standard. The hose was poor quality, and the fittings were also.

Did the job
AC was not cooling due to low refrigerant. Everything else was still fine. HVAC company recommended that it should be repla$$$ed. Got this kit with a can of ProSeal22 to buy at least another season from the old unit.
Used the hose that came with this kit to get the Proseal into the system to (hopefully) stop the slow leak. Filled the system with 2 containers of R22a. No leaking problems with the hose. Gauge worked well.
System is now cooling.
Had to do some internet research to perform the refill with some confidence. Not much info available on the internet though. Unfortunately the terms and conditions here does not allow posting of any useful web links.
Read the instructions and safety guidelines 10 times over, wear protective gear, fill slowly, don't over-pressure, be patient and be careful !

On the first bottle the crimp on hose leaked. On third bottle the hose busted free from crimp. Yes I was on low pressure side.

I got this kit and it worked very well. Easy to use (I have no A/C experience) and within mins I had cold air blowing in the house. I would recommend this to anyone. For less then the service call fee you can be up and running.

very poor quality
This kit is a complete waste of money. The quality off the hose and connections is very poor. It leaks at the valve end and the other end the seal jams and lets all of the fluid leak out. With the quality of the parts this hose should be free with the purchase of the refrigerant. It's that bad.

Works but equipment of questionable quality
Can tap is leaky therefore I lost all leftover refrigerant. Instructions are very lacking and don't explain what is normal system pressure and how much should be added to system. They say not to overcharge but don't say what is an overcharge condition. Once I figured out how much I needed with a lot of Internet research, it did work fairly well but I think I may have overcharged it. With better instructions and better can taps, this would be a good product.
