Awesome Bike Rack From Thule
I bought the Thule Parkway 4 bike rack from CT in Aug of 2012 and I have to say it is a fantastic rack even if I had to pay full price. I am so glad I listened to the comments from other CT shoppers like you. Just pick up and observe the product and you will know that it is strong and very well built. It took me 15 minutes to put together and sliding it into my Sienna’s 2 inch hitch was a breeze. Are there fancier racks out there? Of course, but it will come at a significantly greater price. This rack will more than do the job for the 4 or 5 outings per year that I plan on using it. I had contemplated buying another (no-name) rack from another big box store for 1/3 of the regular CT price but the quality doesn’t even come close to this Thule rack (what do you expect). Besides, do you really want to take a chance strapping heavy metal on the back of your vehicle doing over 100 km on a highway? Go with a good quality name brand that you can afford and trust. It will give you peace of mind. The only modification I made was adding a single washer at the joint where it allows you to lower the entire rack. The added washer wasn’t absolutely necessary because the play (sway in the vertical position) was minimal and totally acceptable but with it added on, the rack is a tank and doesn’t move at all and is easy to lift and lower to access the trunk. Please note that the instructions clearly states that raising or lowering the rack should be done “without†bikes on the rack. It would be too heavy and awkward in my own opinion to do this with bikes already loaded on racks of this type. I also ordered another quick release pin from Thule ($7.00) to be used on the 2 horizontal arms that hold up the bikes since the original that comes in the package is a threaded bolt. This will allow me to quickly raise and lower the horizontal arms when not in use. Customer service at Thule was easy and pleasant. I had no problem with ground clearance or between the bike and the rear of the van. If you have bikes with frames that are difficult to load, go for this this double arm model because I was able to hold all 4 bikes (2 adult mountain bikes and 2 children bikes). The 2 arms allowed me to be a little more creative in loading unlike the single arm models which I could only load 2 bikes with simple frames. I have to thank the manager at CT Dufferin and 407 for being extremely helpful. If durability of this product suffers, which I doubt,I will comment at a later date.

VERY IMPRESSED
I bought this bike carrier and i noticed it was good quality right away. loved that i was able to hang 4 bikes on it ,two of which were kids bike that i thought they will not go on it. also i liked that i can use my own cable to lock the bikes together to the eye in the post. only wish i did not have to unbold it to fold it down .
works great . The rack is ultra sturdy.

Very Happy
I bought this for a Class One Hitch (1.25") on a 2008 Grand Caravan. There is plenty of clearance between a large bike and the ground (no worries about bouncing off the pavement), and lots of room between the first bike and the rear of the van (No worries about scratches).
Assembly the product was very easy taking about 10 minutes. I did have to loosen some of the factory installed bolts to better line up some of the bolts holes for the bolts I had to install.
Installing and using the product I found the pin that holds the rack @ 90 degrees is very snug and hard to pull out to pivot the rack down. I think this is mainly because of the new rubber bumper. Once it wears abit it should be a little looser. Also, if there are bikes on the rack you will not be able to get into the hatch, it is just too awkward and heavy to pivot. I think the intention of the pivoting design is so you don't have to remove the rack from the vehicle if you want to get into the hatch/trunk. One other nice/not so nice thing is there is a 3/8 bolt that holds the rack into the receiver is good to prevent people from easily stealing it, but means you will need to carry a 3/4 ratchet or wrench yourself.
Lastly I do find the rack on the heavy side and sliding it in to the receiver on the van is a little tricky as if it binds a bit and you start wriggling it you risk hitting the rack against the back or the vehicle.
Overall I am very happy with the product. My bikes are happy too. I used one of the cheaper racks in past but this one is far superior, I would highly recommend it especially if you get it on sale like did.

2 years later..
I bought this product over 2 years ago and have travelled mainly with childrens bikes. Great capacity. Need to be creative to fit children's bikes on the rack, but have always found a way. Heavy to lower...so I rigged a cable, using pre-drilled holes, that prevents it from going any lower than I need to access rear doors of my van. Have broken 3 of the rubber straps, but replacements are cheap and can be ordered online from Thule. Thule also sells a lockable bolt for the hitch connection, but I have not bought that. For storage, it would be good if the dual bars folded down without having to remove a bolt.

Good Product
We just picked this up the other day as we needed to take our bikes travelling with us. On our car we are able to open the rear hatchback while the rack is position if there are no bikes on it, however once the bikes are on the rack we no longer have enough clearance (which is fine). The rack is ultra sturdy, and having two points of attachment for the bikes gives them much more stability than some of the racks that only have one mounting position. This is a very good product and I would definitely recommend it. (will update if any problems occur in the future)

Easy to assemble/ install
It only took me a few minutes to put all the pieces together, the instructions were very easy to follow, it fit perfectly, and I have no problems putting the bikes up thanks to the two arms that make it easy to balance everything. I love the tilt function - I have a Toyota Rav 4 with a door that opens left to right and it gives me plenty of room to open the door.

Well built
Held bikes securely and stable. Requires a 2 inch receiver hitch and it is a little awkward to have to bolt the rack to the hitch. Otherwise this is a very strong rack and happy with the purchase.
