Stay away!
Not only did this rack scratch my car down to the metal, it left dents. There is a spot where two poles are meant to be capped, but one comes out while driving, and that is what causes the damage. I will be returning this particular rack, and will go with something either mounted on a hitch, or a roof one. Stay away from this rack unless you are ok with major damage to your car.

Not best bang for your buck
I recently picked the 3 bike model up while it was on sale ($75). I had picked a Swagman ST-1 ($89) from Mountain Equipment Co-op the same day to compare features and build quality. The 2 bike carriers were very similar but the overall build quality of the Swagman was better and more versatile. The biggest difference I noticed, other than ease of setting the initial position was that the Swagman allowed the user to adjust the bike mounting bar separately from the horizontal/top support bar. The sport rack's top support bar and bike mounting bar are one continuous bar, thus not being able to fit on as many vehicles as the Swagman. I also preferred the actual bike holders and strapping mechanisms slightly better on the Swagman. But all-in-all, if this rack fits your vehicle, I'm sure it would be just fine!

SportRack
We purchased this product a couple of weeks ago. We have used it 2 times already. We are not the most handy people, but find this product extremely easy to use. We can put it on and off the car in a matter of minutes. Best purchase in a while.

excellent for cost
I found the rack took a little bit of time to adjust strap to prevent the rack frame from touching the truck lid of car. Once attached it was very secure and held two full sized mountain bikes. We took it on an 8 hour drive to go camping. The rack was on the car for 7 days of holiday and no scratches or dents found after rack was taken off.

Nice, easy to use bike rack
I'm very pleased with this bike rack. It's easy to put on and easy to load the bikes. I needed something I could put on myself (don't need to get the husband to do it for you) since I use it 3-4 times a week and this one is really easy to put on. I haven't found that the straps scratch the paint yet but I take it off in between rides.

Good for the price!
We bought this to transport our bikes back and forth to the cottage.
Works great, no scratching or damage to the vehicle, used for 2 adult and 1 child's bike with no problem.
Used with a windstar van.

Inexpensive First Time Bike Carrier
This is a great little bike carrier. It seems a bit complicated when you first attach it, but you easily get the hang of it. Because it is not the easiest thing to set up, and take off, I tended to just leave it on all summer. When you do that, you do notice when the metal curved pieces on the ends of the straps (that attach to the car) rub over time on the paint. I guess since I have an older vehicle I really don't care, but you might if you had a brand new one. If I was to buy another bike rack, I would upgrade next time. This one is an inexpensive entry into the world of bike racks. We frequently carry 3 bikes on this one, no problem, but I understand the other reviewer's concerns over weight.

Works well but
Works well but the straps scratches the paint where it makes contact.
I would not recommend carrying more than 2 bikes on this type of bike rack.
