Thule Cascade 1700 Car-top Box 1 5 1 1

Cracks after 1 year Bought it in Nov 2011, used it many times, loaded uo full several times and no problems. Always thought the plastic was flimsy and felxes too much but figured its a Thule so should never have a problem, especially for $600. Just drove to jasper to go skiing and yes the highway had frost heaves and some good bumps but when I got here I saw the plastic on the sides above the rear rails had cracked on both sides. Obviously it can't withstand the flexing. Only had my skiis and boots in it, checked the tighteness before leaving and was fine; not too tight and no loose. Thule better warranty it when I get back or I am shipping it to their head office after I smash it with a hammer! For $600 they should be able to build something stronger and nore durable. Buying Yakima from now on. March 19, 2013
