No frustration tent - perfect for 4
Been camping annually for a long time; this is our 3rd tent purchase and is the best tent by far in terms of ease of setup. You just need someone to hold the middle up for about 2 minutes while you extend all the legs. Clip the fly to the end of each leg, stake it down and you be done! No more mucking around with poles or stress trying to give the better half directions on what to do - just hold it up for 2 minutes, please dear ;-)
We are a family of 4 - I'd say it is a very perfect tent for 4 to fit comfortably roomy and next to each other, each with sleeping bag size mattresses. Can't really do more than 4 side by side, though. Then lots of room in front and behind for bags and such. You could add one more person horizontal in front or behind if you have 5 and still be ok but with less space to put stuff.
Overall quality of the tent seems very good; we didn't have rain so I can't comment but I always seal all the seams anyways. The fly doesn't come all the way to the ground, so the ventilation is very good; this is good for hot/warm nights, ok for cool, but on colder nights it will be cold like our last tent that has a similar design where 2 of the 4 walls are completely open mesh. All these dome tents these days are like this, though. Full fly tents for cold costs lost more and not too good when hot - pros and cons. It's why all our sleeping bags are at least rated for -5C; if its too hot just push it aside (there room in this tent to do this no problem), if it's cold, everyone is good.
Lastly, like everything else at cantire, wait till it goes on sale for half price and you can't go wrong with this one ;-)

Canadian Camping Made Easy
We purchased our EZ tent, now called Easy Up Tent from Canadian Tire back in 2008. We needed it so we could camp our way from Ontario through BC and finally our destination of Vancouver Island British Columbia. It was amazing !
Between my husband, myself our very large Black Lab/Newfoundland combo of a dog Charlotte, we used the daylights out of that tent and it's still in perfect condition today.
Now the kids use it when they fly out to BC to visit and I can see this tent still being in use when the Grand-kids arrive.
EZ to put up, EZ to take down, packs away in it's cover without any hassles and is durable to boot.
I've done a lot of camping in my life, I'm 52 now, but I've never had a tent that I knew without a doubt I could rely on in any weather, any conditions, that is until we purchased ours from Canadian Tire.

Easy to set up
This was an easy tent to put up, all I had to do was shake it out.

so glad it was on sale
I bought this tent without much research admittedly - the pop-up part was great and actually quite easy - BUT this is a very small tent - we have always had a 6-man coleman tent for the 4 of us (2 adult and 2 little kids) -- but this is super cramped - it is mostly because of the shape -- if you put any kind of double/queen mattress in the only place to put it is the middle and then even I can't stand up to get dressed. Thankfully I bought it at half-price !

Depends what you use it for
This tent (the 7 person model) is only "easy-up" with more than one person!! In fact it is downright "hard-up" to construct solo! (I tested setting it up by myself before the trip)
Do not buy this tent unless you intend to use it for drive-up camping or motor boat camping. It is VERY large and heavy in the pack case. We used it on a very short canoe ride, but had to make two trips because it took up so much space and weight.
However, it is VERY ROOMY! I think 7 people is really generous, but 4 people plus gear is ideal. (Perfect, even) If you buy this tent on sale (I did) it's probably the easiest bang for your buck IF you are looking for tent space, ease of install and are car or motor boat camping and don't care about weight or space. Otherwise it would be a huge pain. DO NOT PORTAGE THIS TENT!!!
The integrated poles are a great idea and if you have 2 people or more, it really is a lot easier to construct than unravelling and snapping poles in and then snapping them to the tent.
The trade off is weight and size. These poles are a heavier (and possibly better) construction than regular "elastic middle" tent poles. They are also wider.
A great deal if on sale.

good overall tent
This is the largest of the easy up broad stone tents.
For its size it is quite easy to set up, it takes a little skill because of the size but sets up pretty easily . Take it down and making it fit in the bag again can be somewhat of a challenge but its doable with some practice , having 2 people for set up and dis assembly is a lot more better. The qulaity of the material is just about above average , but nothing to rave about . This tent is only good value if you get it on a 50% off sale which they do . Recommend you get it closer to the beginning of the season on sale.
Strangely It was packed with the wrong size roof net and even went back to the store another package had the same error, and even more stranger they had the correct size one just laying round in the camping area over the other products they allowed me to exchange for that roof net. All these tents are overated on their person capacity and i fail to see how 7 people would fit , you would pretty much cramped , id say it comfortably coud hold 4 people. I bought this just for me and my wife and the rest of the space is used for our gear. The interior pockets and cormer shelf and e port for wire are all good. Great looking tent . These things must be somewhat mass produced because one of the brackets was screwed inccorrectly and we had to remove the screw and screw it properly otherwise it would not flex open.
The is a fantasitic tent for easy use and average quality and if you get it for 50% off then it really is a good deal

Good tent
Hey
I used this tents on a remote island on a lake it took me 15 minutes to set-up. We got rain and wind and it never failled, it was a bit harder to put back in the back but it's doable. So it's a good tent but don't try to sllep seven in this four max unless your all 4 feet tall!!!!
