Great Fish Finder Cant say enough good things about this unit . I dont use it as a portable but bought it because it comes with its own battery and charger . Eliminates the need to go buy those 2 items with the std model. Great Humminbird quality ! May 8, 2009

Lets Go Fishing Overall a very durable unit. The best part is you do not have to drill any homes in your boat and you can take it with you on any boat. The one thing that I have learned since my purchase that needs to be considered prior to buying this or any unit is the depth of water that you will be fishing in. I fish generally in 10 feet or less of water so the actual beam and area that you are seeing on the screen is a relatively narrow area (cone shape from the transducer so the deeper the water the wider the field of view). Finds but doesn't catch fish! My husband just purchased this and has used on 4 fishing trips. This is user friendly and easy to read screen. He feels it serves the purpose in locating fish, depth, etc. but although he says he sees fish he has yet to bring any home!! August 29, 2008
