Netizenship Assignment I recently purchased Nike Mercurial shin pads from Canadian Tire at the start of my indoor soccer season. This is because I had out grown my old ones and I must say I did not think shin pads were different until I purchased these. When I run I feel like I am just wearing socks because of how moulded around my legs they are. Unlike the last pair, they provide that comfort that really makes them unnoticed until contact. I have received studs to the shins and have not even felt a thing. Also, it took me a few games to even notice, but there is extra padding on the outside of each shin pad for ankle protection. Unless you put them on backwards (like me) you will not be able to notice. This is important if you receive a challenge from the side and they happen to connect with the outside of your foot instead of the ball. Overall, for the price the Nike Mercurial shin pads are great, and if you think all shin pads are the same then think again. March 4, 2012
