Does the Job
I don't use this tool a lot but it gets the job done. Good quality and relatively comfortable, despite it's size.

Dust collection... not really
I bought this after I finally used up my palm sander of many years ago. When I saw that models these days all come with dust bags I was pleasantly surprised. But to my disappointment I find it does not make any difference and there certainly is not much (1%) of dust getting in the bag. Plus you have to perforate the paper for it to work, which I find just reduces the use I get out of the paper before it rips.
Ok, so the holes is not specific to this sander only, but this is the one I bought.

Amazing tool for the price
I had some work to be done at home and needed a sander so I bought this one on May 17, 2011 and it did the job just how I wanted it but, I must say it's only good for small jobs, NOT BIG JOBS!!

Poor durability
I bought this sander with the purpose of doing my basement, for new drywall. First sander lasted exactly 1 wall (20x7) and I did only the drywall joints. No pressure on sander, no more than 20 minutes working rounds... Got broken. Went and got the second one - IDENTICAL behavior.
Stay away, 2 sanders in a row is way too much.

Good sander, easy to control
We had a Black and Decker 1/3 sheet sander that didn't come with a dust bag. It was a good sander but always left a huge mess. When we saw the MasterCraft model come on sale we were quick to buy it as a replacement. The MasterCraft is a basic but sturdy sander. The motor puts out a surprising amount of torque, but it easy to control with the two handles. We used it to round off the edges and corners of some plywood shelves we made in the basement. It's tricky to sand such narrow surfaces single handed with a palm sander. The extra handle gave a better degree of control and made it easy to rounding the corners and get an even chamfer. In terms of more regular sander jobs, this 1/3 sheet sander does a great job removing finishes with rough grit or preparing a surface for primer and paint with really fine grits. The dust control on this sander is good, although you will still be cleaning up some sawdust. We we may be prejudiced in favour of this or any other sander, though. After years with a bagless sander and vacuuming up a mound of sawdust, anything is an improvement and bound to impress us.

Mastercraft 1/3 Sheet Sander
I bought this sander to replace my old one that died on me the morning I started sanding our spare bedroom. Although I found I needed an orbital sander to do the job. This sander paid for itself over the course of the three months that I used it to do the "fine" sanding after each coat of polyurethane that I had put on the hardwood floors
The dust bag although not perfect did an excellent job of retaining a majority of the dust.
My one negative comment is the "On/Off" switch. I found it difficult to shut off as it is too close to the shroud or casing of the sander.
But all around a good handy tool

Great sander at a great price
I use this sander on a regular basis. It performs very well every time. The dust collector helps pickup about half the mess.

Good Sander for Light Work
This sander works well for a final finish sanding with something like 220. I got a heavier duty Bosch for more aggressive work, but it is great not to have to change paper for the final pass!

Good tool to have
I have used this tool many times and it has worked perfectly. No problems. Collects dust well. A little difficult putting sandpaper on.

Great for the Price
I was impressed with the performance of this sander especially for the price. Even better was the exhaust system that pulls in a good amount of dust.
