Great saw
I picked up this saw for a number of projects I was doing. It has not failed me yet.
The only issue I have is that I've had it kick back a few times but usually when cutting through a big knot in the wood.

Does what is claims
I am an avid hobby woodworker and I use this saw several times a week. It does what it claims and it does it well. I would like if the mechanism that clicks when you have it set at pre-set (commonly used) angles that it was a bit more accurage. I find I sometimes have to fiddle with it to make the angle perfectly set.

Does the trick (with issues)
This is a descent chop saw. Nothing fancy, but the price is right (when on sale). Changing the blade is a hassle and the instructions are lacking. Is fairly light. Would recommend for light use.

Great saw
I'm a weekend warrior so I might not be the best judge but this saw is great. Used it to build by new deck and it was awesome!

Much better sliding miter saws available
I love sliding miter saws but this one is disappointing in design and quality. Just as a simple example, the depth adjustment screw is too short and critically limits depth adjustment (if you want to do dado cuts, this is very important) and there's no reason for this other than lousy design and quality controls. Likewise the fence which is not stable and the locking mechanisms are cheap and don't really do the job. Within a week of use, the laser moved out of alignment (I treat my tools carefully) and I haven't yet figured out how to readjust (nothing in the manual on this). I'd previously owned a Craftsman slider (model not available here in Canada) and it was a far better product. If you won't be using this tool much, probably fine to wait for a good sale price. I got mine at half price but still regret the expenditure. Recommend you study the many miter saw reviews online and put your dollars to a better tool.

Off to a bad start
I've only ever rented saws and haven't ever had to change a blade. Excited to try my new saw, I proceeded to read the instructions as to how to change the blade. The description was difficult to understand and the accompanying drawing was way too small to figure out where the arrows were pointing. A screw had to be loosened to remove the blade guard and it was SO tight from the factory that by the time myself and two others tried to loosen it, the screw had stripped, making it impossible to change the blade. The store exchanged the saw for a new one but I then discovered I needed an extra pair of hands to change the blade! A very awkward system and a frustrating start to what I understand is otherwise a good saw.

weekender Best
Had this saw for 2+ years. Excellent saw, accurate cuts. Laser is a plus. Original blade did not last too long so purchased a high end saw blade Cuts are so clean I don't have to sand the cut. Bonus is you can fine adjust vertical and angle so stays accurate after two years of normal use. Can't say if it could withstand a builders use.

Very Good Saw
Very good saw. Does everything required. Very handy when cutting lumber 6" or wider(my non-sliding 12" mitre will not cut completely through a 2X6). Large footprint, works best on a dedicated stand.

Great Saw @ a Great Price
I purchased this saw for 209.99 (45% off). Checked the saw out of the box and all angle were set correct. Laser is a bit dull, never had one before so it wont matter. Over all this saw is all I will ever need.

Dust chute is nuisance
Great saw for the price ! Especially so since I got it on sale. Dust chute has fingers at front and screw through middle, which cause almost instant clogging. After this excess dust gets on laser. Good otherwise.
