Good, Not Great
I bought this stud sensor on sale, taking the reviews with a grain of salt.
It works OK but is far from totally accurate.
I tested this on a wall in amy basement where the studs are visible so I could ensure it was accurate. As with any stud sensor, I calibrated it before testing, on an area where there was no stud. It found them no problem but I got a few false readings and when it did find an edge, it would continue beeping after I moved beyond the stud.
There are better ones out there, but for my purpose, I think it will do alright.
(Requires 9V battery, not included.)

Does a good job
I upgraded from the basic mastercraft stud finder and found this one was much more accurate. I'm sure it's not as good as the high end finders but I'm just using it for odd jobs around the house. It's simple, it works, and it's tough.

Not so good
Hello guys, I purchased this product. I followed the directions and didn't work as it shows. I tried different places on the wall, and no luck. So, try to get something else or go higher price.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY
My Christmas tree doesn't have this many flashing lights on it! I bought this stud finder in July and it was a complete and total waste of money!
I thought the feature that detected wires in the walls was a great idea, (so you don't put a screw through a wire when drilling into the drywall), but the problem is it WORKS TOO WELL.
If there is a wire ANYWHERE in your HOUSE this thing is going to alert you. Its so annoying! You could be drilling into the wall 10 feet from the nearest wire and this thing will pick up on the wire and start flashing. Its too sensitive!!! To the point where it makes the feature completely untrustworthy.
Good idea, but very poorly implemented.
Don't waste your money on this one.

This Stud Finder is Terrible
This product does not work. It's a hit or miss everytime. I returned mine, and would certainly not recommend.

Easy to use and accurate!
I've used this product to mark studs to hang several heavy objects on my walls. Just follow the instructions and it works flawlessly. I've tested it all around my house and it works perfectly every time.

Fairly Satisfied
This is definitely not the great stud finder on the market. I have had moderate success with using it when looking for studs behind drywall. The device will give you a pretty good idea of where the stud it, but its somewhat hit and miss. The electrical sensor seems a little inaccurate to me too. I will say that it is very durable (i know this from throwing it at the wall in frustration so many times), and has lasted me for 2 years so far. I think i will spend a little more on my next stud finder, since it is a tool which does get used quite often.

Go for the Pro Version
I thought by buying a brand name version I'd be better off. I was wrong. I have just as much trouble with this one. A better quality version is the way to go.

MISSED EVERY STUD
I used tried this item again and again and ended up missing every stud and my wall was full of holes that i now have to patch up. It was a very frustrating product.

Could do better
This stud sensor is easy enough to use, but I find that its depth of detection is not very deep. On several occasions it has failed to detect a stud that is only behind one sheet of drywall and that I know full well is there. Other times it detects one edge of the stud, but not the other. Very inconsistent. I would recommend spending a little extra money and getting a better quality sensor.
