Assembly/manual a little difficult to understand
So, I am the assembler in the family - my husband has little patience for these things. Normally, I have no issues following instructions and putting together complex items (a gas BBQ for example), but this one was a bit of a challenge for me. The Inlet deflector seemed to be oriented the wrong way (sideways versus up/down), and for someone who is not familiar with the terminology associated with a power vacuum, there was no diagram explaining the various parts (only the pieces you had to assemble) and the drawings were a little difficult (small) to make out. There was no explanation for what the various hose pieces were for and I found the wet versus dry instructions a little hard to understand. We ended up plugging it and with a few trial and error attempts (which holes should be plugged versus open) we ended up getting it going. I fear I may be coming across like a bit of a bimbo...but really - am quite industrious!!! I like the product but feel the instructions should have been more detailed. Someone mentioned the template being a big goofy - I was set on following the instructions exactly and even using the template ended up putting the handle a bit cock-eyed - double check the holes for the handles before putting on the wheels/casters!

Great shop vac for lots of jobs
This vaccum has done nothing but good for my remodeling projects on the house we bought.
Wet or dry this vac does the job.
I like the stainless look and it's very powerfull and comes with many attachements.
Greater purchase if you can get it on sale :)

Very happy with purchase
I got this vacuum for 40% off so I ended up paying 149.95 plus tax. This vacuum has incredible suction! The 6.5HP motor is loud, but boy does it clean. My only worry about the vacuum is the hose. The hose seems like it is not very durable and will develop breaks over time. All of the shop vacs use the same type of hose and my other shop vac has lasted for years.

Cheap motor with no bearings
I was shocked to see the motor has no bearings just exposed brass bushings on each end. It is the same size as a 5/16 solder free brass compression fitting. My model lasted a year and is now burning out with the motor shaft bouncing around in an enlarged brass bushing. Shocking for their top model.

Great customer service from shop vac
Assembled vacuum, finding instructions typical, that is, apply to different models so a little confusing. One is directed to cut out a little template, tape to the bottom of the canister in order to place the wheels correctly. Thought this kind of 'dorky' and simply 'eyeballed' it making it all symmetrical with respect to the hose. One would think locating marks could be made in the manufacturing process. Performance/suction is fantastic and it is very quiet. Hose seems a little thin and in my opinion could tend to collapse if it were stepped on..
Went on line to register with shop vac. They have you fill out a little questionnaire in the process. I mentioned that the sample general purpose vacuum bag they include was damaged with mine. It was rubbing against something during shipping and had 4 little holes. I mentioned it as an FYI, not wanting anything. They promptly e-mailed and then sent me a package of bags/ Great customer service. Sorry, i've written a novel again..

shop-vac ultra SS wet/dry,45 L failure
Purchased top of the line SS ,should be more durable than all plastic shop vac. Went to use vacum to clean up water removal chore and the vacum cabinet leaked. Checked vacum drain and saw leak from welded bottom. Open up and found all the welds as well as assembly screws badly rusted. All the rusted seams are leaking and the vacum is not even a year old! Bad grade stainless steel!!!
Definitely something to look out for as I never thought stainless steel would rust out. The steel welds expose the inferior quality caracteristics of the the SS

out performs and worth the money
I had the blue 12 gal version that lost power over time. I traded up to this and wow what a difference!
I use it probably harder than most people would (wet leaves, stuff on garage floor, brick chips.. anything I don't pick up by hand) Each time it works tremendously. Bag compatible (reduces dust going to motor) long cord and a hose that screws onto the head (I pull the vacuum by the hose so this is great). Noise suppression at the exhaust (still lots of power). This is the industrial gold standard for people that want maximum suction- and exhaust that blows kiwis off the vine!! (I do that too!)

Excellent Product
Purchased item on sale for $159.99. Have used many times and the performance is excellent. Good suction and the casters and handle make moving the vacuum very easy. Would recommend product.

great vacuum
I bought this vacuum on sale and i am glad i did. Its super powerful with a large capactiy for extended cleaning. I would definately reccommend this to anybody.
