A decent vise
After buying this product i have used it for metal work, wood work, and plastic work. Ive found that it is a good vise for someone who would be using it occasionally and more light duty activity.
However, it has quite a few noticeable flaws. Clamping the vise is hard and has required lots of DW-40 to aid the operation of the vise. Strangely it only has three holes for mounting and installing with bolts. Which dose not make much sense to me as there is no reason a fourth hole shouldent be there. Otherwise the vise is very durable and looks great on my work bench.

Small, but strong.
I've had this vise for 2 years now and have used it several times for small to moderate sized projects. From sharpening tools to cutting pipes. Grips very well and the swivel base locks in where you want it to. It has three holes on the base for mounting, which was adequate enough to keep it from moving if you use proper fastners. The anvil portion is a little small, but understandable seeing as it is a small vise. If I were to buy I vise for the first time I'd probably step up to something larger like the 5". I think you would be able to do a little more. I think every handy person should own a vise. It's like having a third hand with a wicked grip. Just be sure to wait till it goes on sale. Usually 50-60% off. I see them in the flyer on sale every month and half.

Solid Performer
I bought this vise on sale and am glad I did. It is large enough for almost any job, is well made and is solid...but then it's pretty hard to screw up a vise.

Extremely sturdy vise
I mounted this on a 12x12" piece of plywood. I hang it off the edge of my workbench to free up the work area and bring it out when ever I'm working on a light duty project like sharpening a chisel or mower blade. If I'm doing some heavier duty activities like drilling, hammering, or sawing, I use C clamps to hold the board in place on top of the workbench.
You can easily turn the handle to get a tight grip on odd shaped items like mower blades. I find the handle too small. The fit on the threads are a bit loose, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. I find the anvil section is too small to be useful. The jaws don't open wide enough, so I'd recommend moving up to the five inch version of this vise. You can do a wider range of projects with the bigger model.

Great for little jobs
I have had the vise for 7 years and it has performed very well. It will do fine for little jobs.

Works Great on Mastercraft Bench
I received this vice for Christmas and mounted it on my mastercraft Work bench (Product #57-0113-8) on the right hand side over the waste can. I bolted it on with 2"x3/8" bolts
Becuase it swivels 360 degrees I can mount any length of material across the bech and cut, file, pound or sand until completed. All filings or dust falls down into the waste can.
It tends to collect a lot of metal filings around the base so it must be vacumed after use.

Good Vice
For its size, its a good little vice. Holds most things you'd need to use in a vice for regular home use, sharpening blades, holding pipes to cut, etc.

Good Little Vise
Bought it on sale about a year ago, sitting outside in the box in my shed. I needed a vise a couple of weeks ago, so I opened it up. Looked great, worked great. What else can I say - it's a vise.

Handy little guy
Saw this on sale and bought on a whim. Always wanted one. Glad I did. This thing is great! Tough, easy to use, easy to mount onto table/bench and love the swivel base. It's small but pretty tough and gets most jobs done easily. Unless you need huge jobs done, this little guy should be just right.
