Very disappointed
We bought this set because we really liked the design. The square plates & bowls look modern and simple. But after the first wash in the dishwasherl, the bowls cracked and chipped. They are not durable at all. We've had the set for less than a year and have had to throw out half the bowls and a number of plates that have chipped/cracked/split. So far the mugs have held up ok.

A little disappointed
I love the style of these plates, and for the most part I actually love the Debbie Travis line of products at Canadian Tire; however, I'm actually disappointed with this dinner set - mostly the plates. The product is great for putting in the dishwasher and microwave. Unlike a lot of dinner sets, it doesn't get scolding hot after being in the microwave, which was a nice relief. The problem I've had with these plates is that there is a small piece in the center of the plate on the underside - this piece unfortunately extends farther than the edge of the bottom of the plate, which cause it to constantly teeter when it's on flat surfaces. It might sound like a simple complaint, but it's rather annoying when every time you touch the plate it teeters back and forth. It doesn't stop me from buying other Debbie Travis products, but it does however make me a little more skeptical of the quality of her other products. I can't say for sure that it wasn't a specific manufacturing mistake for my particular products or if it's an entire product-line mistake, but it's just something to keep in mind before you buy this.

Elegant
Food tastes better when it is on elegant dishes. This fits the bill. Very pleased.

I love the clean white. Square adds a nice touch for uniqueness.
